Q: What is your current (personal) project?
I recently purchased a vintage 1964 Airstream Overlander. It’s 26’ of aluminum, dust and shag carpet. I’m planning to renovate and update the tin can while still keeping it original to its 1960s glory. Very groovy. My next adventure…a houseboat!
Q: What do you love most about your job? Why?
I love learning about every business or industry we touch. Getting the chance to be strategic and creative in different industries makes each day a new adventure. We never have two days alike! Call me a nerd, I likely deserve it.
Q: Are you from ATX? If not, what brought you here?
I’m not an ATX native. I moved here from Massachusetts. I visited Austin almost 10 years ago and have longed to be here ever since. After a winter with 9’ of snow, it was time.
Q: Do you have kids and/or pets? How have they changed your life?
I have a retired racing greyhound named Pickles. He has recovered from multiple broken bones in his front paw and, as a result, has a little “hitch in his giddy-up.” It doesn’t slow him down and, if possible, has made him even more loving. I think we as humans can take that little lesson to heart...or at least give a few more snuggles to those pups that need it.
Q: If you had one superpower, what would it be, and why?
Teleporting, no question. My love for travel runs deep, much deeper than my pockets. Who wouldn’t want to weekend in Bali and still catch the Aurora Borealis in Norway?!
