Team Member Of The Month: Kim

Kim Castelluccio is 97DW's Digital Media Supervisor. She is an integral part in 97DW's  digital strategy and coordination. Kim graduated from Texas State University with honors before working at LatinWorks, then 97DW. Kim is known for keeping emergency snacks on hand and a positive attitude (which probably have something to do with one another).

Here's a short Q&A with Kim:

Q: What is your favorite thing to do outside of work? Why?

My favorite thing to do outside of work is to go to exploring around Austin. I’ve lived here for a little over 4 years, but still find new and interesting places. Some of my favorite places to go are to Rainy Street, Zilker Park, Alamo Drafthouse and the Domain.

Q: What is an activity you share with your family?

My family loves to travel and ride the scariest roller coasters we can find. We also love collecting the pictures that the roller coasters sell showing us all laughing and screaming. Our most recent roller coaster was the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios Orlando where each rider can adjust their music settings to hear certain rock songs during the course of the ride.

Q: What do you love most about your job? Why?

One of my favorite things about my job is getting to work closely with my teammates  to come up with really effective media campaigns. Strategizing together what tactics we should incorporate within the plan and what creative messaging we should bring to life is something that I enjoy each day.

Q: Where is your favorite place to eat in Austin? Why?

I love to go out to eat with friends to this health food restaurant called Flower Child. All of their food options are amazing and they have multiple different flavored lemonades. The first time I went was before Thanksgiving and it was so delicious I was tempted to bring a plate of their mac and cheese with me to Thanksgiving dinner. It’s located at the Domain, which is a bit of a trek,  but they are opening a closer location downtown in December.

Q: What is the last book you read (or your favorite book)? Tell us about it.

I have a really bad habit of starting a new book while still reading another book. That being said, I currently started reading both Jane Eyre and Northanger Abbey this summer and have yet to finish either.
